First floor bar
The first level of Roofers Union is on street level and has its own separate entrance. The warm inviting space showcases exposed brick, a zinc bar top and a beautiful church sign letter board that lists signature cocktails that call back to the days of Jerry Thomas.
Every day we host a happy hour from 5pm to 7pm where guests can enjoy $3 local draft beers like Port City Optimal Wit, $5 wines by the glass, and $5 rail cocktails. Chef Marjorie has put together a great menu of bar snacks that will will hold you over until dinner or can serve as a light meal in their own right.
The intimate space is perfect for after work cocktails, aperitifs on date night or for private events, which can accommodate up to 50 people.
During mid week you can find free live music performances from local DC artists like Jonny Grave and Maureen Andary.
Second floor dining room
The second floor dining room boasts floor to ceiling windows that display the colorful 18th Street corridor. Designed to be a contemporary beer garden, we offer great flexibility no matter the size of your group. The 14 seat bar boasts 22 beers on tap including two cask ales and displays a vast array of craft spirits, bourbon, ryes and scotch whiskeys. The dining room can accommodate a sit down group of 80 people or up to 150 people as a standing reception.
The wide open space occasionally hosts beer dinners and other events and parties and also features a HD tvs and offer great views to catch local and major sporting events. On Friday and Saturday nights at 10pm we feature live musical acts from some of DC’s great artists and occasionally a few from beyond! Check our EVENTS page to see upcoming acts!
Third floor rooftop
The covered open air rooftop is available seasonally, and offers the best views of Washington DC’s Adams Morgan neighborhood. The 15 seat horseshoe bar is know for its signature punch bowls and frozen craft cocktails. Whether you’re in the mood for some al fresco dining or late night drinks in the open air, you won’t find a better place to spend a relaxed evening with friends or family.
